The new community rugby season is set to run from Saturday 5 September 2026, to Monday 17 May 2027 and RFU player registration (adults and age-grade) for the new season opens on 1st July 2026.
All players participating in contact rugby, both new and existing, adult and age-grade, must self-register annually, on the GMS (Game Management System) platform. All RFU League and Cup fixtures must use EMCs (Electronic Match Cards) to submit team lineups, scores and match events.
To help volunteer club administrators understand and prepare for the new 2026/27 season, there will be a series of webinar sessions, which will offer the opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts and gain clarity on GMS player registration and EMC use.
